Forestry and Forest Engineering Field Positions

Job Description:

DWB is seeking applications for Forestry Field Positions and Forest Engineering Field Positions in our 3 northern divisions. Full time, 8 month co-op, and summer positions are available beginning May 2015. DWB’s main area of forestry work is in pre-harvest timber development. Annually we develop approximately 2 to 3 million cubic meters of timber (full phase development) as well as the layout, survey, and design of many kilometers of main haul road systems and crossing structures. Assigned duties will be based on the candidate’s experience and may include block and road layout, bridge and culvert site plans (Level 4 survey), mainline traversing (Level 2), deflection lines, timber cruising, riparian assessments, site plan data collection, and GPS traversing. Working within our environmental departments may also be required.
